It is with Great Honor that we again present the 20th Annual Raid on Fort Pierce Civil War Reenactment and Living history, The Fort Pierce Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans, Pvt George W. Thomas, Camp 1595, and the 12th Brigade Col Lang’s Defenders, takes pride in presenting the rich history and diversity of Florida in the 1860s and forward.

Information: School day is on Friday, March. 13th. Battles are at 1:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Ladies’ Tea is at 11:00 am, Saturday, and a Grand Bon Fire Frolic will be held in the Confederate Camp at 7:30 Saturday evening. If you play a musical instrument, feel free to bring it to the Frolic. We need cavalry for the school day, and artillery is welcome. The Ladies of the Order of Confederate Rose will be cooking dinner for school day participants on Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and supper on Saturday evening. The 155th Anniversary of the Battle of Bentonville will take place on the original battlefield

with the largest battle reenactment in North Carolina. Living history programs, sutlers, lectures and book signings will be among the many commemorative events activities. Saturday’s battle “The Fight for the Morris Farm” will take place at 3 p.m. and Sunday’s battle “Last Grand Charge of the Army of Tennessee & Morgan’s Stand” will take place at 1:30p.m. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday’s battle reenactments are available for purchase. Information: 27th annual Battle at Narcoossee Mill, sponsored by Jacob Summerlin Camp #1516, SCV. Education Day will be held on Friday the 26th. April 30 – May 2, 2021 - Fernandina Beach, FL - Federal Garrison of Fort Clinch

Information: This event is sponsored by Ft. Clinch State Park. Union Soldier, Sailor, and Marine reenactors are needed for first person interpretation of Fort Clinch in May of 1864. Military activities will include guard duty, drill, firing demonstrations, and mail call.

Barracks accommodations will be available on a first come first serve basis. Separate accommodations are available. Reenactors MUST be in proper uniform to participate (kepi or forage cap, sack coat or frock, trousers, and blackened brogans and leather gear, only corps badge acceptable is 10th corps red).

Please see the living history manual. Those not conforming to these standards will not be allowed to participate. Rank structure for the company (officers and NCO’s) is by appointment only. The company being portrayed is the 157th New York. Civilian impressions are also encouraged as townspeople of Fernandina or refugees from Jacksonville.

Special impressions must be pre-approved by the event coordinators. Meals will be breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning. The Barboursville Civil War Days event is sponsored by the City of Barboursville, West Virginia and has been organized over the years by Mrs. Natalie Adkins. There was no event held in 2019 because Natalie became ill with cancer and she succumbed in November of this year. Chapman’s Battery asked me to organize the event for them for 2020. Civil War Days – Barboursville, West Virginia will be held at the Barboursville City Park.

The historical Battle of Dry Creek was Fought near where the Food Lion Shopping Center now stands on the East Side of

the Town of White Sulphur Springs. Visit the Monument at the Site Placed By the White Sulphur Rifles. This Battle was the First Confederate Victory Following Their Devastating Defeat at Gettysburg and Raised Southern Moral. The 2019 Battle of Dry Creek will again be held at the Greenbrier State Forest, located near White Sulphur Springs off of Exit 181 of I-64 which is the second WV exit if you are coming from Virginia. The Reenactor registration this year will be $10.00 if post marked on or before June 1st, 2019 and $15.00 if post marked after that date or for walk-ons. November 2021 – Checotah, OK – Battle of Honey Springs

This biennial event includes two battle reenactments and self-guided tours through the Union, Confederate, and civilian camps. Visitors can experience military drills, demonstrations, and living history programs.

Sutlers Row will feature a number of vendors selling clothes, books, souvenirs, and reproduction nineteenth-century military equipment. Visitors from around the state come to see special presentations and watch the battle.

This reenactment is a scripted battle, which means the reenactor companies and regiments make the same actions that were taken in the original battle, on the original battlefield.

A special Education Day for students is held on Friday, and battle reenactments and other events are held on Saturday and Sunday.

The battle reenactment is held biannually at the Honey Springs Battlefield Historic Site in Checotah, Oklahoma. The event features an Education Day with numerous stations teaching topics related to the Civil War in Indian Territory and the battle itself.
