June 6 - 7, 2020 – Charles City, Va. – 23rd Annual Reenactment - Action at Wilson’s Wharf

Located between Richmond and Williamsburg, Fort Pocahontas was the site of the May 24, 1864 Action in which United States Colored Troops defended the fort they built against an assault by Fitzhugh Lee’s Confederate Cavalry. Open to the public 10-4 Saturday and 10-3 Sunday: $10/adults, $8/students.

Battle reenactments 1 p.m. both days; Civil War living history including family activities. For reenactors: shaded campsites on the James River, Friday officers’ social, Saturday buffet dinner provided, evening dance and artillery fire. June 6 – 7, 2020 – Baldwin City, KS - Battle of Black Jack

For the commemoration of the 164th anniversary of the Battle of Black Jack, we will be having full scale reenactments of the battle the weekend of June 6/7, 2020. We are working with the First Federal Division, a national organization of experienced reenactors, who will be bringing to Black Jack a group 100 participants who will have been fully vetted for their period clothing, weapons, and gear.

They will camp out on site, and in addition to reenacting the battle, they will be available for public interaction.

The Society for Women and the Civil War (www.SWCW.org) will hold its 21st annual conference at the Hotel Madison and Shenandoah Valley Conference Center, James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, July 24-26, 2020.

This year’s theme will be “The Women of the Valley.” The keynote speaker will be distinguished author and consultant Jonathan A. Noyalas, Director of the McCormick Civil War Institute, Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia.

September 26, 2020 – Wheaton, IL – Chicagoland Civil War Show

Zurko Promotions and the DuPage County Fairgrounds will again host the nationally acclaimed “Chicagoland” Civil War, Collector Arms, and Military Show and Sale on September 26, 2020
