Terry began reenacting at the age of nine when he participated in the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg in 1963.
One of the founders of the reenacting hobby as we know it today, and one of the most influential reenactors of the 20th century, Terry formed two major Union Civil War reenacting organizations; the 5th New York, Duyree’s Zouaves and Warren’s Brigade, and was instumental in the founding of the National Regiment, and led the Eastern Battalion for many years.
Throughout his 50 plus years in the hobby, and especially as the Colonel of the National Regiment, Terry set the bar for Eastern Theater Union reenacting for decades, participating in countless events as well as being featured in numerous publications and appearing in films.
Colonel Daley passed away after a long illness in April of this year. He is sorely missed by his family and many friends.
We shall not see his like again.
